Helene Lauer has been a career counselor for over two decades. As an Independent Consultant since the early 1990's she has considerable experience advising her clients on all aspects of career development. She assists professionals and her corporate clients with making plans and decisions that will positively impact work in the future.

Holding a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, Helene has maintained a private consulting practice in Wellesley, Massachusetts since 1986. She has provided services to hundreds of professionals helping them to choose, change or modify their career direction. She was previously the Director of Career Services at Babson College and Simmons College Graduate School of Management. In these positions, she initiated, wrote the curriculum for and taught career management courses at both graduate schools of business. She also worked as a consultant in the outplacement and recruiting industries. And, while in private practice, she has provided consulting services to local universities and colleges, professional services firms, the healthcare industry, design firms, financial institutions and high technology corporations. She is currently a Board Member for the Brandeis University Hiatt Career Center .

Rounding out this experience, Helene has been a speaker for professional associations and a corporate trainer on a variety of topics including networking, hiring and interviewing and performance management. She has published articles in recognized professional journals, business publications including Massachusetts High Technology, and on the Internet for Microsoft Encarta and CareerBuilder. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe and the Wall Street Journal as a leader in innovation within the field of employment.
